What platforms does BrainSync support?

BrainSync works with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, X (Twitter), articles, blogs, recipes, podcasts, Google Maps locations, and almost any URL. It's available as a web app at brainsync.pro, an Android app (Trusted Web Activity from the Play Store), and an iOS home-screen Progressive Web App.

How is BrainSync different from Pocket, Raindrop.io, or Notion?

Pocket and Raindrop are bookmark managers - they save the link. Notion is a note-taking tool - you do the writing. BrainSync sits between them: it saves the link AND does the work for you. Every saved item gets an AI summary, full transcript for videos and podcasts, auto-extracted recipe steps for food content, and smart categorization. You can also chat with your entire collection like an AI assistant that has read everything you've saved.

Can I save TikTok videos and Instagram Reels?

Yes. BrainSync supports TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X (Twitter) videos, and most social platforms. Share the post from inside the app (TikTok > Share > BrainSync, etc.) and BrainSync downloads the audio, transcribes it with Whisper, and generates a searchable summary. Public-only - private content is not supported.

Yes. Your bookmarks are private by default and visible only to you. You explicitly choose which collections or bookmarks to make public on your profile (e.g., brainsync.pro/yourname). BrainSync uses Google Sign-In, does not sell user data, and never trains AI models on your personal collection. Full details at brainsync.pro/privacy.

Does BrainSync work offline?

Partially. The BrainSync app caches recently-viewed bookmarks for offline reading via a service worker, so you can re-read summaries on the subway. Saving new bookmarks and AI processing require an internet connection because the transcription and summarization happen on our servers.

Three things to check, in order:

Make sure you're signed in at brainsync.pro in the same Chrome profile. The extension reuses your website session — no separate login.
Click the BrainSync icon and confirm the URL shown in the popup matches the page you're on. If it's blank, refresh the page and try again.
Check that you haven't hit the free-tier limit (20 AI-processed saves per month). Upgrade in Billing or wait for the monthly reset.
